You Have a Blog, Now What

So, you´ve set up your blog. You´ve thought of a great, creative title that reflects you and your intentions. You´ve linked to it from your social media profiles and your friends and family are all eagerly awaiting your first post. Now, what do you write about?

There are many key words to help you come up with ideas, which will be mentioned later. But the first, most obvious one, is to write about what you know. Your thoughts on something, your ideas that are unique to you, your feelings about the day...

Once you´ve used up all the "normal" ones, then try the following words to inspire ideas...

Review an event or something that interests you.
Write about something controversial.
Ask a question – one that either you want to answer or a philosophical or rhetorical question in which your readers can comment.
Suggest a different opinion on or way of thinking.
Respond to something that has caught your eye.
Analyze a problem that is either unique to you or important to everyone.
Use a visual and talk about it.
Reflect on the past or really anything you want to have a discussion about.
Create a fun list of something fascinating.
Have a guest, post.
Write out a how-to of something you´re an expert in.
