So, we´re back to the drawing board to see more ways of building your MonkeyJar troop. We´ll focus on Twitter for the time being, how to get more people to your profile and therefore to find out about MonkeyJar. Afterall, if they don´t know you exist, they can´t follow you.

The first rule of thumb is to treat your Twitter page as any other website. Promote it, update it regularly and try to drive as much targeted traffic to it as possible. Secondly, you´ll want to send visitors to your profile because that´s where they´ll find out about who you are and why they should care. Unless you´re famous, they won´t even know you´re there. People like contests, put one on your Twitter profile and see what happens. Include a link to your profile in your forum or email signatures. If you blog, add a link in each post. If you don´t blog, start. Then, connect all your social media profiles together, linking them. Explicitly ask people to do what you want them to do. The worst they can say is no. And there are some more ways to build up your Twitter followers and thereby, your MonkeyJar troop.
